THE JOURNEY OF A MEMORY · 5 STEPS

From a forgotten drawer
to a legacy forever.

01

Time does not spare magnetic tape.

Every passing year, magnetic decay and sticky-shed syndrome erode your footage. Signal fades, audio distorts, and tapes degrade irreversibly.

MAGNETIC DECAY · EVERY YEAR COUNTS
02

What seemed lost is not.

We clean dust, mold and jitter using hardware Time Base Correctors (TBC). We stabilize frames, restore natural grain, and bring family faces back into focus.

RESTORATION · ARCHIVAL CRAFT
03

And for the first time, in color.

That black and white snapshot held an entire world. We restore authentic period-accurate colors to skin tones, clothing, and landscapes just as your eyes experienced them.

BRING BACK TRUE COLOR · AUTHENTIC TONES
04

And suddenly, they move again.

That still photograph regains subtle motion: a gentle blink, a glance, a smile about to unfold. We bring your photos to life in a video so you can look into their eyes once more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to
know about our laboratory.

Where can I digitize analog tapes and film reels in Europe?

With REviCORDS, a dedicated audiovisual preservation laboratory based in Barcelona offering tracked, insured door-to-door courier service across Europe (UPS / DHL). We operate calibrated decks with studio hardware TBC to eliminate dropouts and jitter. Output delivered in high-definition MP4 or master ProRes, with guaranteed safe return of all original media.

Do you offer broadcast Betacam SP to ProRes master conversion for production companies?

Yes. We operate broadcast Sony decks with SDI output and hardware Time Base Correctors (TBC), delivering Apple ProRes 422 HQ / 4444 master files with preserved timecode and uncompressed audio. We provide EU VIES zero-rated VAT (0% IVA) business invoicing and volume tier pricing for documentaries, festivals, and television archives.

How much does it cost to transfer a VHS or MiniDV tape?

29 € per tape, including full real-time capture, hardware TBC signal stabilization, MP4 digital master, and safe return of the original tape. Free insured return courier shipping across the EU on orders of 8 tapes or more.

Can you restore, recolor and animate damaged old family photos?

Yes. We repair tears, dust, and moisture damage from 0.49 € per photo, restore authentic period-accurate colors for 14.90 €, and bring portraits to life in subtle motion video for 19.90 €. 100% digital delivery via private cloud download.

How long does a magnetic tape last and why is digitization urgent?

Between 15 and 25 years before magnetic binder hydrolysis (sticky-shed syndrome) and oxide shedding cause irreversible signal degradation. Digitizing now preserves the footage before physical playback becomes impossible.

Are my original memories safe during international transit?

Always. We partner with UPS and DHL for fully tracked door-to-door courier transit. Every archive is barcode-scanned upon arrival, handled in a climate-controlled facility, and safely returned to your home.
